6/2025 update: We came here for their father's day brunch and had a great time. The food was bomb and the unlimited mimosas were flowing. Came here for all you can eat brunch. Bomb! The homemade tortillas made the tacos so tasty. They had an assortment of breakfast foods along with Mexican favorites and a meat carving station. Brunch includes bottomless mimosas! I will definitely be coming back.
We had Sunday brunch to celebrate a family member’s college graduation. A perfect place for the occasion! Variety of good food to choose, including made to order omelettes. and we all enjoyed it. The service was very good for a large group! We enjoyed sparkling wine and mimosas, as well as other non alcoholic drinks.
Locally owned and operated Mexican restaurant with the fresh, hand made and pressed tortillas. It has been a really long time since I've been to this place and I think it's the only ETG in OC that does the tortillas. Service was exceptional and the food quality was good. Now I'm wondering when to head back for brunch.
I ordered the 2 choice items. Chili Verde and Steak taco. The Chili Verde was fried too much. However, a fresh one was immediately brought out to me. The server was amazing. And of course, chips salsa and homemade tortillas with butter. Yum!
The food was so yummy, my husband had a combo plate and I had a fajita salad. The best part of the meal was Joanne, our server. She was friendly and fun, checked back with us several times and just made the meal special.
From the first, our server Cesar was cordial and responsive. My friend and I split the steak nachos and the carnitas Yucatan. Our guacamole was prepared table side, so we were able to adjust to our respective tastes and allergies. The fresh tortillas with the honey butter were a hit. The nachos we received were chicken, a simple mistake that Cesar and the kitchen staff fixed quickly. The carnitas are delicious, and even the masa had incredible flavor. We used to visit this restaurant when they had one in Los Angeles on Wilshire Boulevard. Sadly, that is closed many years ago and this is the only one left. Yes it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive on a Friday night to get there, but it’s definitely worth the drive. The food is exceptional. The tortillas are freshly made with orange honey butter And the combo plates are the way to go. We had a really nice server. Her name was Cynthia and she was outstanding. I love this place and will make the drive as often as I can because it’s worth it. Highly recommended.
Visited El Torito Grill for the first time after 2020. Before COVID, I used to go here every week for Taco Tuesday with friends. Nothing changed, the look, food and service. Still top notch. Still the same casual, cozy & family friendly. As it was Valentine's day, I made a reservation ahead to avoid waiting times. The Food & Service was great. Planning to start back on Taco Tuesday's !
